G.SKILL 32GB microSDHC Flash Card w/ SD Adapter Model FF-TSDG32GA-C10
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Fast random write large and small blocksize speeds.

Cons: Below class 10 sequential read and write speeds - performs closer to a fast class 4 card in this respect. I expected to see at least 18~22MB/s sequential read and 10~12MB/s sequential write. Really disappointed not to see good across the board performance because I wanted to see if a faster card would improve responsiveness of my devices. I don't believe the poor speed results are the fault of my card reader as I'm seeing typical results on both my high and low end class 4 cards.

Other Thoughts: Having to return this card for replacement increases the purchase price by a significant percentage.Reviews of the 16GB GSKILL card suggest that low initial speeds may be a sign of a card that will soon die. I'm left to wonder if my devices would perform better with a true class 10 card and if I would have been happier trying my luck with the ADATA card which was on sale for $7 less at the time I bought this.

Pros: They work without any problems at class 4 speeds in my Nuron phone and Rocket 4G ZTE MF591 laptop stick. Video and audio stored on the card play smoothly in the Nuron. Cheap - got two of the 16g cards @ $7.69 ea. shipped with 30% off promo code Sept 20, 2013. Delivered in 4 days by UPS with free eggsaver shipping from two seperate warehouses.

Cons: These seem at the slower end for class 4 cards, especially the slow write performance as noted by another review. My Kingston 4GB class 4 card is faster, however I don't notice any increased lag when jumping to a different position in audio or videos with the Toshiba card.

Other Thoughts: Reformatting these with SDformat didn't increase speed readings as I've read in reports that it sometimes does with some cards.
