ADESSO MKB-135B Mechanical Gaming Keyboard w/ Hub & Audio Jack
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Good Quality build and good price for what it claims to be.

Cons: Very heavy key switches with metallic ring when a key press bottoms out.
Not a pleasant typing experience. I wish it was.
The PS/2 to USB adapter that i received did not work.

Other Thoughts: Not ideal for most modern motherboards, though i would like to see the PS/2 port on any new MB.

Using for a few months now and i am convinced the specs are not correct. I searched for a few weeks on this product , the most reputable sites all say the MKB 135B uses CherryMX Blue key switches. I do not think that is correct, this feels like it could be 90cN...

ADESSO MKB-135B Mechanical Gaming Keyboard w/ Hub & Audio Jack
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Simple but aesthetically pleasing. Good design , no need to adjust heights .
This thing is tough, It has fallen to the floor a few times and it is more likely to damage whatever it may impact then vise versa. Seriously though the build quality is exceptional.
Very tactile feel and each key stroke is complimented with that cherrymx blue click.

Cons: Blue LED Numlock is is very bright. It shines though a USB flash drive somewhat.

3 out of 5 eggs 05/15/2015

This review is from: Adesso MKB-135B

Pros: Price. Mechanical Keyboards are expensive. This one is one of the lowest priced that uses the CherryMX key switch brand

Cons: Keys bottom out a bit too low. More than 4mm for sure.
Odd shape. Do not confuse "Full Size" with the layout. It is not. Very Cramped and still not used to the placing of it's keys. Non standard layout. Wow. more cons that anticipated.
Build is nothing special aside from the weight., also no adjustable feet, blue led num lock light is very bright, And the USB to PS2 does not seem to work.

Other Thoughts: I have only owned a CherryMX Brown KB , the switches seemed very linear in comparison to what is supposed to be CherryMX Blue Switches in the MKB 135B. I hope i am wrong and that these are indeed CherryMX , I trust CherryMX Branded switches. That is the reason I spent a $100+ on this keyboard. I can't help but notice a degrade in typing experience in the last few weeks. Keys seem to require more and more force , and I am noticing a little resistance in the feedback, after it actuates and springs back up. Very uneven typing for me on this KB .
I am sorry that i complained and spoke ill of things which may seem trivial, i am sure addesso is a fine quality of keyboards.
