This review is from: Rosewill RC-505 - 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card
Pros: It works as advertised. Physical install was easy (except for pwr connector) if you're comfortable working with hardware.
Cons: I am not seeing any speed improvements over the MoBo USB 2.0 ports for my Samsung 3TB USB 3.0 Ext. HDD. Software install from CD is not intuitive, as you have to "match" the model number from the box to the correct directory/folder on the CD and the vendor name does not match the software or the card. Also, (and this is more a problem with my case) but the power connection on the card is required, but the distance from the PSU to the little short card was about 4 inches longer than any power connector in my system, so I had to find a 4pin female molex to male molex extension cable. So check that you have a pwr connector that is long enough to reach all the way to the spot where you plug into the PCI slots.
Other Thoughts: NOTE: There is no internal (19-20 pin) connector for connecting front panel USB ports. Since this card is not failing, I am not going to return. I am planning on ordering the HooToo version which has better reviews and an internal connector (I didn't know I needed it until I opened my case and found an extra bay to mount a front panel set of ports!).
