Good Deal..!!
Pros: Great card, a snap to install (sort of), the price was right (I think less than a year ago this card was over $400.00), and it works like a champ..!! I remember buying a GeForce 4 Ti when they were top-of-the-line. That card impressed me then ($470.00), but this 550 Ti card impresses me more now, and there are newer cards on the market currently. This card was a steal..!! (Thanks, Newegg..!!)
Cons: None. None. None.!!!
Overall Review: I knew it could happen, but the instructions said to place the card into the slot, connect all cords, start the machine, and then load the drivers. I ended up having to take the card out, load the drivers, placed the card into the slot, and then my machine saw the card. It has worked perfectly since. My Machine: MSI Mobo (Overclocked? Not currently. Nothing slows this thing down.) Processor: AMD (Quad Core, 3.2 Gig) Memory: 16 Gig of Ram (Raptors, 1333) Video: EVGA 550 Ti Power: Corsair 650w Display: ASUS 226 Built: 2011 Video card is recent addition. P.S. The fan on this 550 Ti video card is pretty quiet.
Wait..!
Pros: Nice looking card. Easy to install. Works quite well with really nice graphics on most programs. I was excited when it showed up at my door.!! I installed it without a hitch and it worked flawlessly on all the programs I tried it with at first. I am still working with their support team.
Cons: Currently this card will not play any game that runs with OpenGL. I am working with their support team.
Overall Review: The support team is quite responsive and is trying to resolve my problem. I have confidence the issue I have will be resolved.
Great drive for what I use it for..!
Pros: Easy installation, and will hold a few older games that used to play in Windows 7. Does what it said it would do, and makes a great "Boot Drive" for older games in Windows 7. Actually reads/writes faster than I expected. No problems.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I recommend this drive for gamers who like older games that used to work in Windows 7. Just do not try to put too much other data on it if used for gaming purposes. I've kept mine exceptionally clean of data outside of gaming saves, and it runs flawlessly. Fast and responsive drive. I am very impressed..!!
Great hard drives
Pros: Fast and reliable. The company shipped as soon as they received the order, but it did ship from China, so it took a little while. However, no complaints..!!
Cons: None
Overall Review: I've bought these through Newegg before and love them..!! Lots of storage, and SATA III speed! The only thing faster is SSD, but they are pretty expensive, cost-wise, when it comes to storage space requirements. Yes, there are probably some 10K RPM drives still out there for sale, but I've had several gernade on me over the years, so I will not go there again. These drives meet my needs, are relatively inexpensive, and none have died on me. You should buy one or more of these from Newegg if you need storage space and/or a fast and reliable hard drive. Windows Experience rating for these drives is 5.9, but do not let that fool you. They actually are fast..!!
Out of Stock? No WONDER..!!
Pros: Great card, decent price, and it ROCKS..!! My daughter wants a second one for SLI (and up to X3 on her mobo) so she can way-out-do her two friends that have one of these. If you go with a newer card you will, of course, pay a bit more, but might not see much difference at this time. This card is, in my opinion, a good balancing point between "absolute-hard-core-extreme" and "affordable, beat-the-socks-off your friend's machine" video cards. Get one (or more) if you can find them..!!!
Cons: Currently hard to find in-stock if you want to SLI, or simply want to buy just one. I think a lot of people are trying to buy these cards, so they are hard to get.
Overall Review: I have told many of my friends about this video card, and many want one or more. This includes professional IT folks..!!
Great Power Supply
Pros: 520W Continuous, good price, 80 Plus Certified, delivered fast (thanks Newegg!), modular, does exactly what it was advertised to do, and installed in a snap of my fingers. I bought this power supply becase I was upgrading one of my older computers for a graphics card installation. This thing fit the bill perfectly..!!
Cons: Really not a Con, but it comes with no A/C power cable. I have plenty of power cables, so no problem..!! The company said they are trying to protect the environment, and of course, you can buy an A/C computer power cable almost anywhere computers are sold.
Overall Review: The 3.2 Gig Dual Processor (AMD), 4 Gig of memory (1333) machine I bought this for just loves this power supply..!! The old power supply was 350W. Even my kids noticed a performance increase before I added the graphics card. The performance of the new graphics card is great and all who use this machine (family and friends) are convinced I did more to it than put a new power supply and graphics card in it. Good product! Thanks, Newegg..!!
