Mushkin Enhanced Chronos MKNSSDCR120GB 2.5

Pros: Works great with Vista. Comes with adapter bracket.

Cons: As always, price. But not so much so since the floods I guess.

Other Thoughts: Hard to find any info on SSD's and Vista. But I can report it has worked well without issue. No trim support of course, but hasn't been an issue yet. To install, I just did a "windows PE" image of my old drive, Installed the SSD, expanded the image to it and it was just like I left it, only quite a bit faster. I did forget to change the BIOS settings to "AHIC", but did that after the fact and vista figured it out and installed a driver for it. Didn't really notice any speed increase with out AHIC though.

Actual Boot time (ie. From the time I hit "restart" to the when vista is fully up and loaded w/ email, all the gadgets n what not) is 1:50 to 55 seconds. Which is down from 5 to 8 minutes (never really timed it) from the raptor 10k 75gig HD.

Pros: No dead pixels, PIP, Displayport input. No light bleed through.

Cons: Trying to stick with the Refurbish aspect, but View angles not great, which I think is most of the reason these monitors are returned. But it's not an issue setting at your desk. Headphones laying on your desk will be much louder than the speakers.

Other Thoughts: I read about dead pixels on new monitors. From what I can tell, dead pixels don't pass the refurb test. So having a second set of eyes look at it (after it being returned the first time) I think gives you a better chance of being dead pixel free.... To the poster above, RMA that thing now. You'll be glad you did latter...

Nippon Labs 6 ft. High-quality DisplayPort cable for digital monitor Model DP-6-MM

Pros: None, unless you need to strangle something... Like the company that makes it...

Cons: No signal detected. Went to a local store and picked one up for 17.99, problem solved.

Other Thoughts: Something screwy going on with the feedback on this. Was over 80% 5 eggs. Now all the 1 eggs show up. Shows there are 3 pages of feedback but when you click for the next page it switches back to the single page with like 83% 5 egg. Either way, as most have found, this thing is junk.
