Pros: Used 4-way Optimization by Asus z87 pro motherboard. Automatically Oc'd to 4.4-4.5 ghz on air cooler (hyper 212 evo). Runs at around 24-28 C on idle and up to 35-38 C when being partially used. Its very hard to use cpu 100%.
Video editing is breeze. Couple it with an ssd, good ram and everything is super snappy and responsive.
Cons: Could be cheaper
I guess the glue under heatsink annoys alot of hardcore overclockers. They have to delid it so they can reach speeds that aren't really necessary imo. This thing is fast as is and will handle anything you throw at it at ease.
Pros: Ran memtest on an amd system and intel system. Ram had zero errors for asus sabertooth 990fx r2 and for asus z87 pro mobo. It is shown as 1333 mhz in bios but 1800 mhz in asus monitor programs.
Video editing is a breeze, the most I've seen used was 8 gb/s
Cons: none for nowREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: -Keeps my fx-8350 at around 11 celcius at idle.
Cons: - Blocks 1st slot on Asus Sabertooth 990fx mobo
(not a problem if you aren't using all slots)
Other Thoughts: Should done more research, but I'm only using 16gb of ram and the blocked slot issue won't really affect me.READ FULL REVIEW
