This review is from: 100FT 100 FT RJ45 CAT5 CAT 5 HIGH SPEED ETHERNET LAN NETWORK BLUE PATCH CABLE
Pros: - Cheap
Cons: - Not very durable
- UTP is not T
Other Thoughts: I bought this cable with the intention of running a couple of lines from the router in one room to the PCs in another. The cable itself is very flimsy. I got it ran into the living room and got ready to punch down the cable and noticed that (1) the colors were slightly non-standard. Instead of the typical orange, blue, green, and brown with their white counter parts, the colors were orange, blue, green, brown, light orange, light green, light blue, and light brown, and (2) the wires are not twisted inside. The colors wasn't a big deal, but the non-twisted pairs ended up causing issues. The wires are easy enough to kink and snap, but not being twisted, they are even more so. Somewhere in both lines that I ran, there were shorts. Had to pull them all back through. Guess it goes to show that you get what you pay for. Not sure if I can send this back since I've already cut into the cable a couple of times. What a waste.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I've been eyeing this for a while, and I have to say that so far I'm glad I got it. It works well, I've not had any issues with connectivity, save one (see below). I like the look and feel when attached and closed or when using it to type.
Cons: If you're shelling out the full $100, then I'd say it's not worth it, but for $60 or less, I'd buy it again. There was some minor scratches on the metal backing, but nothing huge. The only connectivity issue I've had is trying to use it while it is connected via USB to charge, but that's rare, so I didn't mark off much for it. What cost it that fifth star was that when you want to use the iPad but not dick it, then you just through the keyboard aside. I really wish that they paid more attention to the thought of somehow stowing away the keyboard when you are using the iPad but not the keyboard.
Other Thoughts: I got this with a $20 rebate, so the final cost should have been $40, which would be very reasonable - if not for the fact that I didn't get the product packaging and no UPC code to claim the rebate. I'd still consider $60 a fair price, but it would have been nice to get that $20 back...READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BELKIN F5D7010 Wireless G Notebook Card
Pros: It works. I've had mine for a few years now and have never had any real issues with it.
Cons: As others have mentioned, I don't think that the software that comes with it is all that great, but unlike others, I've never had an issue disabling it. Not sure what their problem is. Outside of that, it has been a pain trying to get it to work on my laptop with Ubuntu. But on all my past windows laptops (including the one that dual boots windows and ubuntu), piece of cake.READ FULL REVIEW
