This review is from: C9152A HP Laserjet 9000 Fuser Maintenance Kit
Pros: This item, despite what the product description states, IS REFURBISHED (stated on the packing slip), NOT NEW! That said, it is a high quality refurb with all new gears and rollers.
Cons: This item, despite what the product description states, IS REFURBISHED (stated on the packing slip), NOT NEW. And pretty expensive as a refurb. Putting the HP logo and contact info down qualifies as "Bait and Switch". An illegal practice according to the Uniform Commercial Code. The part number even indicated the product is new.
Other Thoughts: I don't understand why newegg does business with shady third party vendors. It destroys their hard earned name.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Stylish design, compact form, core i3, responsive touchscreen, excellent image quality. Completely silent most of the time. Soft fan noise when the i3 is cranking. Decent BIOS functions (wol, timer, etc). USB 3.0
Cons: No Wifi built in. DVD tray is difficult to manually eject until you get the hang of it.
Other Thoughts: So impressive, I bought this for myself after buying a new i5 model for the CEO's desk. The unit is solidly built and looks excellent. Screen is bright and clear with a wide viewing angle (although not as 'tall' top to bottom - only about half of the 170 or so degrees it offers side to side).
This is the finishing touch on my decades long quest for a worthy techie jukebox. Running Jriver Media Center with streaming to half a dozen DLNA audio devices (Squeezebox, Pioneer, Philips, Sony). A big, bright, screen sits on the top shelf of my wall mounted stereo rack inviting guests to flick and swipe their way through my music library.
Controllable via smartphone as well as the web, the touchscreen interface bests all other methods and I find myself using it nearly every day.
IMO, the lack of wifi isn't that big of a hit on things that don't move. Use a usb adapter or wifi converter and the ethernet jack on the back.
This review is from: MartinLogan MLT-1 5.1CH Home Theater Speaker System, Black
Pros: Great sound, for the size. Don't expect room thumping bass, but these deliver clear, crisp and accurate sound in a small(ish) room. Added a pair of Polk's (from here of course) for my fronts and went with a 7.1 setup. Sounds amazing at normal volumes.
Cons: MartinLogan's warranty card must be returned within the briefest of periods else the warranty is void. Don't forget to return the card or you will be up the creek without a paddle. Don't let these sit in box for a while to give as a gift (even if it's to yourself).
Found this policy to be quite low brow and was cause for great concern... why would a quality shop put such a 'gottcha' on their warranty? Found myself waiting for the sub to blow, or a speaker to start cracking.
90 day warranty unless you send in your card. 3 & 5 years otherwise. This kind of behavior is borderline bait and switch and should be illegal. If you advertise a 3 year warranty, you should honer your word, not make me jump through hoops to achieve your promise.
Other Thoughts: Been a year and the speakers are doing fine. Keeping fingers crossed. Will most likely never buy MartinLogan's again... While the speakers are quality and as advertised, the company must be run by bankers or lawyers.READ FULL REVIEW
