Pros: Excellent product. I am very happy is spite of the "other thoughts" below.
Other Thoughts: Obviously, you have to have a computer which supports SATA III. The problem is that very few computers do (on their external USB port). One of the computers I use is a brand new Lenovo X230 and I can't get a better benchmark than 300 MB/sec on the external port, which is nevertheless shown as being a USB III port. One of the hypothesis is that the USB III on the X230 is not SATA III compliant. Another is that the Rosewill case (RDEE-12002 RT) is not.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I already wrote a review giving the good sides.
Cons: This review is not about cons.
Other Thoughts: I hoped that I would get 500 MB/sec with a Samsung 840 Pro and this Rosewill product. As I understand, now, it is not because one purchase a brand new computer that this computer has SATA III and that you will get the performance that you expect. As a matter of fact, it does seem that there are not that many manufacturers that do offer SATA III on their USB 3 port. The performance is not bad (depending on the computer I get somewhere between 150 MB/sec and 300 MB/sec), but be advised that you have to be quite selective in your choice of computer to get 500 MB/sec. What is most disappointing is that many computer manufacturers do not even tell whether or not their USB 3.0 supports SATA III.READ FULL REVIEW
