Bought two - one is dead, one still working
Pros: Seems to be very fast. Was a noticeable improvement from my previous 2.5' sata ssd.
Cons: I had set up two in a RAID 0 configuration as my system drive. It's been about a month with them functioning well. No indications of any problems. Yesterday evening I came home to a disk read error. After checking in the BIOS and swapping drives around, it became clear that one of the two drives had failed due to a hardware issue.
Overall Review: About 25% of the drives I've bought over the years died within the first 3 months. So this isn't a huge surprise and I get that manufacturing defects are to be expected - especially with brand new products. On the other hand, I have a platter drive used for storage that is still going strong at 5 years so it seems that some products are built to last more than others. Nonetheless, it was pretty disappointing and it made me go through the hassle of reinstalling Windows and getting everything set up back how I wanted it.
Good picture quality, couple of flaws
Pros: Reasonable price Good picture quality Viera connect with Viera market to download apps Easy setup interface The television itself is attractive
Cons: Very loud buzzing sound when the screen is predominately white. I've looked around in the options and so far have found nothing that resolves it. There is a "Mosquito N.R." option that sounds like it addresses this issue, but toggling it on and off does nothing. This is an extremely annoying issue that I don't have with the '42 Panasonic Plasma of the previous year's series. Movement is either unnaturally fluid or noticeably jittery. Depending on the motion settings you have it on, fast movements on the television either show up in a surreal fluid motion that looks like it was captured on a home video recorder or the picture gets choppy every time that the rapid action occurs on-screen.
Overall Review: I'm not an expert on TVs by any means and have only taken a cursory glance around the internet searching for a clue. There isn't a whole lot of info about this particular model since it is relatively new. I'd love to find some quick, easy answers on how to resolve the issues I have with the TV, but the last time I called Panasonic support for an issue I ended up going around in circles for hours with their tech support. Overall, the TV is okay. Given another chance to choose a TV, I'm not sure that I'd buy this one again.
