This review is from: Insten 675798 6.5 ft. High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet M / M, Straight to Right
Pros: Right angle plug end, good quality
Other Thoughts: I bought this for a wall plate junction and it worked perfectly. Now we have a wall plate where we can connect our devices rather than a loose wire that we have to mess with all the time.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The monitors came in very large, well-packed boxes. I wanted a high-resolution display to do remote troubleshooting - my previous 1900x1200 weren't cutting it anymore - and these monitors deliver excellent quality for that and then some. Gaming is good enough for my tastes.
Cons: I do have a little trouble (enough to deduct an egg) with the screens changing settings sometimes. For example, if I lock my computer (screens shutting off for a split second) sometimes they won't wake back up. Same thing if the UAC in Windows 7 kicks in for a second, or when changing modes. I typically don't do things with my computer that will make this happen, but when it does and I have to reset my computer it makes me grumpy. The cards are connected to Asus GTX 760 video cards via the DisplayPort cables that came with the monitors.
Other Thoughts: All in all, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. If I could figure out why these monitors didn't wake up and could fix the problem so I could use them 100% the way that I'd like, I'd be fully happy.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Fluke Networks MS2-100 MicroScanner2 Cable Verifier
Pros: This tool has become a pretty important one is my toolbox. I've previously used the economical continuity "dumb" testers to verify cables, but they didn't work as well for anything past the basic verification of a cable's basic functionality. This little guy tells you specifics about each pair, what kind of device might be plugged in on the other side of the cable, and all kinds of other stuff. It can also be used as a tone sender if you're trying to ID cables in a bundle.
Cons: Tone sender works with a generic tone picker-upper, but not as well as it would with the Fluke Intellitone. It's got a premium price compared to some competitors.
Other Thoughts: Jumping from a basic cable tester that only tells continuity to this unit has been very beneficial for me, saving lots of time and effort in doing my job. I know there are other companies out there that make similar tools for less, but Fluke is a brand that I've used for years and I was willing to pay the premium for it.READ FULL REVIEW
