Great deal
Pros: This phone is a great deal for anyone looking for a cheap yet powerful android phone. Slightly bigger than the Ace but the screen has way better resolution and plenty of memory so it doesn't choke with all the apps I use daily.
Cons: Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), Samsung announced it will receive upgrade to 4.1 and there are alpha releases leaked.
Overall Review: Bought it to replace my Ace which screen broke after a 3 ft fall and could not be happier. Also I'm getting 3g speeds on T-Mobile here since they are rolling UTMS to the 2100 band. (6 Mb/s down, 3 Mb/s up on my last test), so this is a great phone for the $30/month unlimited text and data plan.
NOISY!!!
Pros: Looks nice, just another component in enternaiment center. Great bang for the buck.
Cons: Noisy compared to Antec Sonata. PSU fan is LOUD, no vibration dampeners for hard drives. No place to mount IR receiver (had to drill a hole)
Overall Review: I am comparing this to a Sonata it replaced and the increase of fan noise is appreciable. I will try replacing the PSU for a quieter one later but there is nothing I can do to minimize hard drive noise.
MAP IS WAY OUTDATED
Pros: Cheap, easy to use, does the job
Cons: Mine came with a Map last updated in 2004. It is missing lots of important new roads such as Dallas' and Austin's new toll roads. Manufacturer has been saying it will release map upgrade "soon" for almost a year.
Overall Review: If you live or travel in an area with roads that haven't changed in 5 years it will help you. Otherwise pick one you can keep maps updated such as TomTom's
