WildStar PC Game
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

2 out of 5 eggs Not for everyone 06/08/2014

This review is from: WildStar PC Game

Pros: Option to pay for sub via in game currency.
It's new.
Many customization options.

Cons: UI is bad, 3rd party addons required to fix broken stock elements, unlocked frames and inability to save settings, lost mouse and kb inputs, vanishing nameplates and tooltips etc. Cluttered and wonky is best way I can describe gameplay and UI.
The level-up splash, font's and some interface panels should have gotten people fired, not made it into a released game.
Still feels like a beta test.
Full servers at launch que on most pvp servers.
Memory leaks, poor optimization, notably on AMD systems.
Not really a MMO, more of an ARPG, should be a console game.
I see no scenario where this isn't half price and free to play inside of 6 months.

Other Thoughts: Although many people, myself included were hoping for a WoW killer...this is barely a competitor. With WoD, CC, EQN, and others slated for release this year, ignore the fanboi's and wait for a better product.....3 days after launch and waiting a year for it, myself and most of guild have un-subbed, and I'm not even going to bother leveling to cap. Maybe if you are immature, used to ftp mmo's or want to play a Streetfighter RPG you could find a couple months entertainment, but bad is bad regardless of fluff.
