This review is from: White ECS LIVA 64GB 2GB DDR3L RAM installed 64GB eMMC Storage
Pros: small footprint, energy superstar, fast for what it is, embedded everything (SoC), m.2, bluetooth 4.0, 1000gb lan, hdmi port, took 5 minutes to assemble, 20 minutes or less to load any supported operating system.
Cons: not really a negative point, but the manufacturer ought to know:
the heatsink screw stress from factory assembly is too tight on the 32gb and 64gb models. every few kits i get one that idles at 55c, (it is within tolerances) but the others run at 41c. so i tore into one and voided the warranty to see what was going on. the screws were so tight on the hot one that the thermal patch had been squished away completely, and the processor had chips on the edge from being tightened too much. i cleaned everything up and used some good compound, put it back together and what do you know? 41/42c idling windows 8.1 pro.
Other Thoughts: both the 32 and 64gb models are awesome. use this little machine for a desktop pc, htpc running kodi, a fileserver, a ubuntu build, it runs other flavs of linux too, just stick with debian and be ready to run some scripts for hardware detection.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill Legacy V6-B Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case - Retail
Pros: form factor, size, layout, build quality, overall a good case for the price.
great case for a passive heatsink and passive gpu (fanless hardware) in combination with the nice & quiet stock rosewill case fan.
the ssd/sshd/hdd mounting plates are removable & great. nice power button.
Cons: cable management, psu position, cpu hsf height limitations. the power supply is too low for many after market cooling solutions. get a low profile aftermarket cpu cooler. this case does not fit large gpu's, but thats ok. i knew that when i bought it.
Other Thoughts: it is a great budget itx form factor case. i used an integrated zotac fanless atom d2700 series usb 3.0 motherboard, r7 250 passive gpu, 8gb ddr3, 240gb ssd. 2tb 3.5 sshd. win 8.1 pro. nice system. no problems.
the case was easy enough to work in.
Pros: all form factors/sockets of this motherboard are great.
performance is awesome. looks amazing. plenty of room for expansion.
Cons: some design flaws, or not depending on what you add for internal hardware expansion. the a88x micro atx board 2nd gpu slot covers all the headers after installing a gpu, even with a single slot expansion card ita a no go.
Other Thoughts: on the a88x uatx boards, the 2nd gpu slot buries headers, making them inaccessible, so no crossfire unless you use the kaveri/r9 270 processor in combination with an r9 270 pci graphics card. the pushbutton oc genie utility is something worth mentioning too. it oc'd an a4 6300 apu to 4.4 ghz without hesitation using an arctic cooling cpu cooler.READ FULL REVIEW
