Pros: Good software, easy install, great sound! Tons of jacks!! I use this card with a headset from Pysko Audio and the surround output is fantastic!
Cons: The voice altering features do not work very well unless you are using the "beamforming mic" on the plug in ACM.
Other Thoughts: This model comes with the ACM satellite volume control and headset interface. Very Cool, looks awesome and is useful! The card itself has a super neat red glow when the PC is on. Its the same light color and quality as a certain Sith lightsaber. :)READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill 5.1-Channel Vibrating Gaming Headset- USB Connector - RHTS-8206
Pros: This headset sounds fantastic! The inline volume control (running on win7 x64) actually adjust the main Windows volume rather then just the headset. Cool feature.
They are very comfortable to wear as long as you dont have glasses. TBH my glasses are cheap and the ear-sticks dont fit my head all that well. So pressing them against my ears is painful but not a design flaw by rosewill.
With contacts on instead these things are just a dream to wear. I hardly noticed them over extended hours of gameplay.
The Vib-Bass is TOO COOL. Firing guns in BF3 felt like the real thing. Grenade blasts shook my skull and tanks rolling by had the added rumble of multi-ton death dealers just a few feet away.
Cons: These do not really seem to be surround sound. Each earcup only has a single wire leading into it... how does a 4 speakers per ear headset use just one wire in each ear?? thats half an egg
The other half egg is the packaging plastic on the outside of the earcup housings. For some reason it is squished under a plastic disc that says Rosewill and has to be cutoff rather then simply pulled off. Pulling it off is hard because the plastic is not tear-able easily (I used my teeth!!) and it IS packaging plastic, it has the little peel-off tab at its edge and has no adhesive under it. it looks ugly with little plastic tatters on the earcup now and I dont want to scratch up my headset by using an x-acto knife to finish trimming it off.
Other Thoughts: Man these are LOUD! had to adjust in game volumes usually down to 10-15 out of 100.
I don't know what those other 1 egg reviews are talking about when they said it didn't work with 64bit windows 7. It works perfectly for me.
