APEX TM-302-3 Black/ Silver Steel MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case 300W Power Supply
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Sturdy on the outside, and not bad looking either. Fairly low weight thanks to its small stature.

Cons: Little bit flimsy on the inside for the hard drive bay. Also, I couldn't get the plastic auto lock for the DVD drive bay to work properly, so I had to use a washer and some screws to hold that in place.

Other Thoughts: I may be using the plastic drive bay lock wrong, but it doesn't seem to even try to grip the DVD drive.

5 out of 5 eggs Great budget board. 03/12/2012

This review is from: BIOSTAR H61MGC LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great price, and great expandability.
Getting a PCI express 2.0 lane on a board this cheap and the lovely intel 1155 socket for later upgrades is very handy.

Cons: None for the price, everything works like it should.

Other Thoughts: The post beeps were very easy to understand after the memory went bad on me. Continuous beeps were for the memory.

Intel Celeron G530 Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 1155 65W BX80623G530 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics

Pros: Fast dual core processor. The single threaded speed handily beats my Athlon II x4 3.0 GHz. Integrated video works very well to watch youtube in HD with no stuttering, and CPU usage stays nice and low thanks to the newer versions of flash supporting hardware acceleration.

Cons: None at all. This really outshines the Celeron moniker.

Other Thoughts: Needed a cpu for a $300 build, and this fit the bill perfectly. Had nearly the highest performance to dollar ratio when I bought it, and was only beat out by a $70 AMD processor that just would have broken the bank for the build. Extremely pleased with the quality.
