Pros: Price was good. Good reviews, it was 5 eggs. Bought this product due to the reviews.
Cons: Have had 2 bad sticks now. One was bad right out of the box. RMA'd to Newegg and they replaced it. About a year later another stick failed. Constant crashing and odd behavior. Memtest86 reports over 65535+ errors. Tested in 2 different machines and errors were the exact same. It is just not reliable enough.
Other Thoughts: I have always heard good things about Mushkin. This memory was used in a small file server that is idle most of the time. I need reliable memory for this system and can't use ECC with this hardware setup. I guess I will order something different to replace it. I don't mind spending the $ for good products. Using some cheapo OEM stuff I had sitting around for the time being to get the system back operational. Only issues I had with this PC were when using the bad ram.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: These are a really decent machine for the price. The really big plus for me is that they have 2 PCI slots needed for some legacy hardware. Come with Windows Professional on the M-series towers. They also have a serial port. They are a tower chassis and not a small form factor.
Cons: Harder and harder to find these in stock! They do have a different power supply connector, but I really don't find this to be a con. If you are looking for a gaming rig to toss a massive video card in, then look elsewhere.
Other Thoughts: I have bought 10 of these M78 towers and they have been great. Now I see that they are out of stock. Also have bought other M-series towers. Please keep the M78 towers or a similar M-series tower in stock at this price level. ($400-$500 range)READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great cheap computer for a budget workstation/office use. Has 2 PCI slots which are a plus. Also has a serial port. Good build quality for the price. Better than the cheaper budget HP machines. Comes pre-installed with Windows 7 Pro. Has Windows 8 Restore CD's in the box if you really want to install 8.
Cons: Not many. Has display port instead of HDMI or DVI for a second monitor. (PC still has VGA so doesn't matter much anyways, didn't need a second monitor) The 14 pin power supply.
Other Thoughts: Have bought 5 of these and used other similar M series before. I still need PCI slots for legacy devices. I will buy more of these if still available in the next few months or something similar if not.
To the people complaining about power supplies in the M series Lenovos... all of the M series M82/M78/M92 all use the 14 pin PS. It's really not designed for a big PS and a high powered graphics card. If you are looking at this PC to make this into a gaming rig, buy a different machine.
