Turtle Beach Ear Force Z1M 3.5mm Connector Supra-aural Noise-Reduction PC Stereo Gaming Headset with Mic

Pros: CHEAP!!! (Bought this for ~$10 or so).
All my friends says my mic sounds really clear online.
For $10, the sound quality is superb!

Before buying this headset, I read the reviews here and many have said how fragile it is and how it breaks with one drop or something. For the first month, I was really cautious and treated this thing with upmost care. Now, I just use it like any other piece of equipment, and unfortunately dropped them from my desk on a few occasions. So far, they have come out strong. A nice piece of equipment.

Cons: Can get a bit uncomfortable, especially when left in same position over the ears for an extended period of time. The ear pads are a bit small and my ears start to hurt after about 30 minutes - 1 hour. However, again for the price, I really can't complain.

Logitech S-220 17 Watts 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System

4 out of 5 eggs Almost Perfect 10/03/2012

This review is from: Logitech S-220 17 Watts 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System

Pros: Two speakers and a subwoofer for $25?! (I guess it's $32 now). By no means am I saying that these speakers are perfect. But they ARE pretty nice for $25. I raised computer and speakers to max volume and the sound was not bad at all. Minor crackles here and there, but overall, pretty good. The speakers can be set pretty far from each other, and the cord connecting them to the subwoofer is more than enough.

Cons: The attached volume control does not sit well on the desk. I don't think you will have an easy time controlling things with one finger. However, using one hand is enough. I have to hold onto the control while using one finger to adjust. Similarly, there is not enough grip on the bottom of the speakers either.

Like the others said, the power cable from the subwoofer to the outlet is kind of short (about 1.5-2 feet?). Every other cable is more than long enough.

My biggest gripe is that volume control DOES NOT work when you plug your earphones into the volume control pod. The volume seems to be whatever your computer volume is set at, which is annoying because I do not have volume control on my keyboard.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I am very very pleased. These speakers fit my needs pretty well. I just wish I could control my headphone volume when I plug them into the control pod. I gave a 4/5 and as long as they are okay with the above issue, I would highly recommend to anyone.
