This review is from: Bitdefender Antivirus 2008 2 Year / 3 PC
Pros: Inexpensive, less bloated than Norton, faster system startup and shutdown. Less of a resource hog.
Cons: Does not work well with Thunderbird email. Randomly hangs, and freezes when viewing or deleting email. The support forum recommended not scanning the email folders as a solution!!!
Other Thoughts: When it is working smoothly it is great, unfortunately that isn't always the case when running Thunderbird. Avoid if using TB.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I'm a casual gamer and this card does everything it is supposed to - play games smoothly and at high settings. It does! Set up was a snap using Nvidia's drivers - I didn't bother with MSI's after reading the other reviews.
Cons: Documentation is a joke. They don't mention that there is a 6-pin plug on the card and that when using only 1 monitor you need to use the bottom connector for your monitor. Maybe they suppose everyone knows this?
Other Thoughts: THE FAN NOT THAT LOUD! I have a couple of case fans, and this card only adds a little more noise.
4/5 because of poor (none existent) documentation.
This review is from: ASRock ALiveNF6G-DVI AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Lots of features for the price, DVI option is great, stable (once you get it going - see below), well marked board, decent manual. Excellent choice for a home office.
Cons: Couldn't get it to go past boot sequence until I cleared CMOS and enabled "AM2 BOOST" in BIOS. Once enabled everything worked fine.
Other Thoughts: If you flash BIOS to newer version you can turn off "AM2 BOOST".READ FULL REVIEW
