Cooler Master Seidon 120XL – Push-Pull CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 120mm Radiator and 2 Fans
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Keeps my i7-4820k nice and cool, would probably do so even with a significant Over-clock.

Easy mount brackets, and both fans and the pump have 4-pin connectors and a splitter to plug both fans into one header.

I usually use arctic silver paste but was out, the supplied paste seems to be working just as well.

Cons: none, very adaptable brackets, I installed one on a friends amd FX-8120 a couple of months back and it dropped the cpu temps 30c over the stock heatsink/fan. AMD should follow Intel's lead and not supply a useless cooler with their cpu's.

Other Thoughts: It was purchased for a re-build in tandem with:
ARock x79 Extreme4 Motherboard
i7-4820k Ivory-bridge-E CPU

Intel Core i7-4820K Ivy Bridge-E Quad-Core 3.7GHz (Turbo 3.9GHz) LGA 2011 130W BX80633i74820K Desktop Processor

Pros: Awesome, it really pushed my 7970. with my Phenom II 1100t I was getting 21,000 on 3dmark06, at the 3.7ghz stock the 4850k jumped it to 27,000. If someone was willing to void their warranty they could probably Over-clock it to 4.7ghz and get around 34,000 marks.

No pins to accidentally bend
No heatsink/fan to throw away or shelf, intel knows you will put an aftermarket one on.

It's a very stable screamer, and has reputedly high overclocking capabilities.

Cons: It doesn't make coffee and it doesn't rub my tummy.

Other Thoughts: It was ordered for a rebuild in tandem with:
ASRock x79 Extreme4 LGA 2011 Motherboard
Cooler Master Seidon 120XL

All components mated flawlessly.
Make sure your cooler is rated for the 2011 socket as it requires brackets with a different hole pattern than previous sockets.

ASRock X79 Extreme4 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Seems as it would be very easy to OC if you were willing to void your warranty.
lots of PCI-E slots, and 40 channels to make them useable for 3-way sli/Xfire @ 16-16-8 bit.
Very User friendly bios
lots of fan headers

Cons: Drive recognition issues, probably won't be a problem for me but if you intend to use all the sata ports you may be disappointed.

Other Thoughts: Purchased as a rebuild in tandem with:
i7-4820k IB-E
Cooler Master Seidon 120XL

All components mated flawlessly
