Other Thoughts: Buyers beware! Bad Panasonic marketing people are trying to confuse the public. Reputable rice cooker makers, such as Zojirushi, have always marketed using uncooked/raw rice capacity. When you compare products, ignore the cooked capacity gimmick in the title; this is simply a 10-cup cooker. By the way, a "cup" is not the regular measuring cup in the U.S., but rather the smaller cup that comes with the rice cooker.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BIOSTAR A780L3G AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Seems stable (BUT, had BSOD with ati2davg error prior to enabling Cool'n'Quiet by also updating AMD processor driver in Windows XP; ati2dvag error is a common problem with AMD/ATI products from all vendors, it is not necessarily Biostar's fault).
Cons: Has BIOS bug that causes system to fail to go from Standby to Hibernate. I have Windows XP. You can see the problem if you go to Power Options, change System standby to 1 min, and System hibernates to 2 min. After 1 minute, the system goes into standby. After another minute, the system does wake up, BUT THEN DOES NOT HIBERNATE. I had to call 626-581-1055 (you MUST CALL, don't bother with the website, they don't always respond to e-mail either) to get a new BIOS that fixes the hibernate problem. HOWEVER, the new BIOS broke another feature. I first contacted Biostar on 3/11/2011, and still have NOT received a good BIOS (that does not break something else) more than a month later.
Other Thoughts: I had the EXACT SAME hibernate problem with a G41-M7. I wonder if ALL Biostar boards have the same problem??? Another issue is that an Athlon II X2 250 with Cool'n'Quiet enabled benchmarked 10% slower than with Cool'n'Quiet disabled when running passmark.com's PerformanceTest 7.0. Anandtech.com said in 6/2009 that AMD was working with motherboard vendors to enable proper BIOS support. My guess is that the proper support is missing from this board. Yet another issue is that the DVI output ALWAYS indicates that it includes audio, even when I select Realtek audio. But I am actually willing to overlook the two latter problems. . . sigh.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BIOSTAR G41M7 LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Works. Stable. Good customer support (but MUST CALL 626-581-1055; no response if use website).
Cons: Has BIOS bug that causes system to fail to go from Standby to Hibernate. I have Windows XP. You can reproduce the problem if you go to Power Options, change System standby to 1 min, and System hibernates to 2 min. After 1 minute, the system goes into standby. After another minute, the system wakes up, BUT THEN FAILS TO HIBERNATE. I had to call 626-581-1055 to get a fixed BIOS in 07/2010. But Biostar still has not put the fixed BIOS on the website.
Other Thoughts: Deducting 1 egg for the BIOS bug, and another bug for still not releasing the fixed BIOS to everyone after knowing about the problem since 07/2010.READ FULL REVIEW
