This review is from: Cooler Master Elite Power - 350W Power Supply
Pros: Quiet, runs cool, short cables, cheap.
Other Thoughts: I needed a psu for a HTPC/Server I was building. Just 2 mechanical harddrives and no video card, 53 watt Pentium cpu. So I didn't need a lot of power or the PCI-E power connection.
So far it is running very cool and quiet, has short cables which is great for a mini itx case. Plus I have a Cooler Master Elite 110 case and this just seems to fit.
This review is from: Intel Pentium G3258 Haswell Dual-Core 3.2GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646G3258
Pros: Low price, unlocked multiplier, low power.
Other Thoughts: Fortunately I already had an Asrock B85 ITX motherboard for this cpu, they did a bios update a year ago that allows overclocking. I got this to 4.2 GHz at 1.19v. Idle temps 28C to 30C, load 68C to 72C. I have this in a mini itx case with just a low profile heatsink so don't want to push it any farther. I ran OCCT for an hour and this cpu seems perfectly stable.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS H97I-PLUS LGA 1150 Intel H97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Where to start, 8 usb, 3 fan headers, UEFI, Intel Gigabit lan, quality components.
Other Thoughts: Never owned an Asus board before now I see why people like them so much, very well designed and laid out. The UEFI is very nice, easy to work with and navigate through.
The 3 fan headers alone makes it worth it for me. I have 2 case fans and my cpu cooler, this keeps me from having to add the molex power cable to my psu just for 1 case fan. The less cables the better in a mitx case.
Also the cpu placement on the board is close to the middle, this allowed me to mount a tower cpu cooler vertically, like it should be. My Asrock had the socket higher on the board and the cooler would have hit the psu, many boards have the socket too low and the video card is in the way.
Very nice job Asus. very pleased with my purchase.
