5 out of 5 eggs Works as advertised. 12/16/2014

This review is from: Transmitter for Syma S102G/S107G/S109G/S111G Heli | Part No. S102G-17

Pros: Purchased this to replace a broken remote for the S107G model. Works as advertised without issue. Channel was correct out of the box.

Cons: Construction is a bit rough. But, didn't expect much for the price.

HP EliteBook Folio 9470m Ultrabook Intel Core i7 3687U (2.10 GHz) 256 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 4000 Shared memory 14

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Ultrabook form-factor, upgradable parts, professional docking, professional matte display.

Cons: price is higher than similar ultrabooks

Other Thoughts: As far as I know, this is the ONLY ultrabook that allows a user to upgrade/change memory, hard drive, battery, and offers a real docking solution (not one of those awful USB docks), and matte screen (not glossy reflect every light bulb into my eyes).

1 out of 5 eggs Not compatible with HP servers? 01/10/2012

This review is from: 1x eSATA + 1x SATA 6 Gbps PCI Express SATA Controller Card Adapter PEXSAT31E1 (Red)

Pros: cheap

Cons: Does not work on HP DL380G5 using server 2008 R2 x64. Server reboots at loading file "crcdisk.sys" . Appears to use a Marvell 88SE9123 controller so this might be a problem for any vendor using that controller. Device info:

Vendor ID:1B4B
Device ID:9123
BIOS Version
Firmware Version:
PCIe Speed rate:2.5Gbps
Configure SATA as: AHCI Mode
Supported Mode: RAID0 RAID1

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if StarTech or Marvell (or both) kept a known incompatiblity list. Its the least they can do if they're not going to address compatibility problems (or if the problem is with HP instead of Marvell).
