This review is from: Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
Pros: Used this on sandy and haswell OC'd CPUs and I must say it keeps things nice and cool while at the same time being very quiet. I've been using Noctua fans and coolers ever since. They really perform well and build quality is top notch. Included thermal paste NT-H1 is great too, I've used it in many builds as they supply you with a large amount.
Other Thoughts: Before buying, take note: the included 120mm and 140mm fans are 3-pin (NOT PWM) so they will be voltage controlled. Noctua does include adapters for low and ultra low noise, but these are fixed options. If you are looking for this cooler with PWM fans, head over to the SE2011 version!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 4 cores
haswell (low power consumption)
unlocked (so easy to OC)
Cons: doesn't vacuum my apartment
Other Thoughts: used this in an HTPC/steambox mITX rig.
slapped this into an Asus impact and put a Noctua NH-D14 on it. Its quick as hell and silent too
Pros: Fully modular
Cons: The unit I received emits a high pitched squealing noise.
in s5 - noticeable from across the room
in s0 - even louder
Other Thoughts: I bought this unit for my bedroom desktop, first and foremost because it has no fan. I'd like this build to be as silent as possible. I was really disappointed, as SeaSonic has an outstanding reputation. The noise coming from this unit forced me to RMA it for a refund. I've already purchased the KW stryker fanless to replace it.READ FULL REVIEW
