Pros: - Looks excellent in the machine
- So far good performance for my gaming rig
Cons: - None that I can think of?
Other Thoughts: Paired this with a motherboard with the same color scheme and I couldn't be happier. I wanted everything to look as well as it functions, and these helped me to do that.
Planning on buying some more later, definitely. They're doing their job and very well.
This review is from: Thermaltake Level 10 GT (VN10001W2N) Black SECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case with Four Fans - 1 x 200mm Colorshift side fan, 1 x 200mm top fan, 1 x 200mm front fan and 1 x 140mm rear fan
Pros: - Tons of free space for extra hardware and good airflow.
- Removable mesh grates for easily cleaning dust underneath the computer and near the fans.
- Great cable management system for hiding cables!
- The LEDs are cool, not gonna lie. Customizable to any color.
- Built in locks are an added bonus.
Cons: - It's wider than I thought it would be, but I can live with it.
- More plastic than I would like, but it at least feels solid.
Other Thoughts: Overall this case is just too cool. I love looking at it, because I can see all the computer hardware with cool lighting to boot.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: - Great software and security features to help you set up your computer and customize performance.
- Looks awesome and glows when the machine is on, so please get a case where you can admire it!
- ATX so you can use pretty much any tower out there!
Cons: - Other cool features are sold separately but who can blame them?
Other Thoughts: Bought this as a replacement for my last gaming rig, which served me well for 6 years. It's beautiful and functional. I love the BIOS features and the extra software to customize the performance of your CPU, Fans, lighting, the works. It's so much more complicated than my last build but I can appreciate the kind of technology and thought ASUS put into this motherboard.
I thought the newer version of this Mobo was a bit much even for me, but I suggest looking at the Maximus Hero VII just in case. The extra cash between the two didn't seem to be worth it to me, but maybe a reader or two out there may find the extra investment worth their time.
Everything was really easy to install and considering it's been a long time since I bought a gaming computer, it felt like I'd built a hundred computers before.
So far I'm really impressed with the quality and the customizability of this mobo.
