This review is from: New Slim 3.5" Inch USB 1.44MB Portable External Floppy Drive Disk for PC Laptop
Pros: Came really fast, is nice and slim, and with some effort I figured out how to use it: I have Windows 8 with 64 and 32 bit. I put my floppy to be viewed into the drive. Then I plugged it into a USB port. I opened File Explorer on my task bar, then up in address bar I clicked on "computer" then “Floppy Disc Drive A.” Then I could see all the documents on the floppy, and could select the one to work with. To remove the floppy drive safely, go to icon at bottom of task bar called "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media and open it. Click on MITSUMI and then you can safely eject the external floppy drive.
Cons: It took a bit of time to figure out how to find the external floppy drive on my computer. I even re-booted once to make sure I could find it. Somebody on this comments thread had mentioned they could only read their floppy if they had first inserted it into the drive and THEN plugged it into a USB port. So that's what I did too.
Other Thoughts: I still have a lot of documents on old floppy discs and this way I can still get to them. i realize i need to put all of it onto flash drives, but until I do that, this is a great and cheap functioning solution!READ FULL REVIEW
