This review is from: Rosewill RNX-N600UBE Wireless N600 Dual Band USB 2.0 Adapter
Pros: It's a long way from the router in a 3500 fsf house on a different level. Pulls in the signal at full strength on the 2.4 band. Haven't tested the 5 band as that computer has no need for it. Doesn't drop the connection, doesn't "bog down", just works.
Cons: None here.
Other Thoughts: Buying a second one for a different computer now.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Edimax EW-7822UAC Wireless AC1200 Dual-band USB 3.0 Adapter, Complies to Draft 802.11ac Standard, Delivers More Than Two Times Faster Wi-Fi Speed Than 802.11n, With Adjustable Foldaway Antenna for Optimum High Performance
Pros: Good strong speeds. Sort of.
Cons: This reincarnation of the adapter has issues that I didn't experience with the older version. It falls apart. Ordered two of them, they sat in a desktop case and still managed to fall apart. Like they open at the seams and get all kinds of wobbly.
Connections start off strong but begin to degrade if getting hammered on, like say in online games or real large downloads.
Other Thoughts: First gen version served admirably. This, not so much. Replaced them with another brand and have had none of the above mentioned cons.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Upgraded from a Core2Duo era rig with a E8600 chip. Real world performance is about 3x improved. Instant improvement in all games, quieter fan, happier dude.
Cons: None. Not at this price.
Other Thoughts: Bang for the buck.READ FULL REVIEW
