This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WA801ND Wireless N300 Access Point, 300Mbps, Multifunction, Multiple SSID
Pros: Honestly, for the price you can't go wrong. Tons of built in features such as VLANs and included POE injector. My unit HAS mounting points on the bottom of unit. Front LED's have no rhyme or reason, they seem to blink at random. Unit replaces my WRT54g and signal strength has definitely improved. Also, the config menus are simple and intuitive. I would highly recommend this device
Cons: No cons identified so far.
Other Thoughts: I haven't yet had an issue with a wireless connection, but the device does support a ping watch dog. This will reboot the device if a ping fails
The reviewer below who claims only 5 users can join isn't accurate. Why would a device that supports 4 VLans or 254 DHCP addresses (on default network) only allow 5 users? I personally tested 9 devices at the same time on youtub@ without issue. .
This review is from: Polk Audio CS2 Series II Center Channel Speaker (Black) Single
Pros: This replaced an older Yamaha 90dB center speaker and WOW. It is a very large speaker but it produces great sound. The audio has depth and clarity, it doesn't sound like it's coming from a box. It's also much louder than my previous speaker. I had some issues hearing dialogue in movies with my previous purchase but the Polk is great! I have it paired with monitor 70's and 35's
Cons: None...I expected it to be large when I bought it.
Other Thoughts: You probably could find a smaller speaker with fantastic sound but you'll pay three times as much. If you get this under a hundred bucks, go for it. At 90dB it has great performance even with a modest amplifierREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Polk Audio Monitor70 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Black) Single
Pros: For the price you just can't go worng. Bass is extremely solid. I really have to leave my T-bass at half because it's just to much. Very good highs, although it can get rich in Two channel. construction is excellent and a nice finish for pressed wood. Stylish enough to leave the grills off, for a nice industrial look. Overall i'm very pleased. Using an older 125 Watt per channel receiver so I can get the most out of 'em
Cons: None that I can think of. Except the speaker is damaged in TWO spots along the front edge of the speaker. It was obviously handled poorly(Box is a disaster). I asked my wife if she could see (it) and since she said no, i'm not going to worry about it.
Other Thoughts: For budget speakers, these are the best. Make sure you give them plenty of power. Speakers kinda feel top heavy when on carpet because of their small feet. Not a problem if on a solid floor.READ FULL REVIEW
