AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: My chip is 24/7 stable with CnQ enabled at 4.5 Ghz with only a 0.01V bump in vcore and cpu LLC at 130% on my Sabertooth 990FX 2.0. Can't do 4.7 at the same settings but might be able to do 4.6, haven't tried yet.

Cons: Runs hot. I wouldn't recommend OCing unless you have a nice hsf.

Other Thoughts: Got it on black friday for $140 and then sold my olf Phenom II 965 on for $80 on evilbay. I can't believe the upgrade for just sixty bucks out of pocket!

Ballistix Tactical 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model BLT2KIT4G3D1869DT1TX0
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: -Low voltage and some of the lowest stock timings
-Runs at 1866 8-9-8-27 2T @ 1.6V

Cons: -Zero

Audio Technica ATH-ANC9 QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Headphones
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: -Great noise cancelling, audio quality, and bass
-Very nice build quality considering the all-plastic construction
-Comfortable! I have worn these non-stop on over a dozen 8-10 hour flights and never had any aches or strains. I also have a big head (7-1/2)
-Nice carrying case and all the accessories you'd ever need are included
-Good battery life, maybe 20-24 hours on regular alkalines

Cons: -The included cords are kind of squirrely and have too much memory.
-The mic cord was $20 to replace from the factory after my cat ate it, but as a major plus the accessories include the non-mic cord as a spare so if you're on a trip there's a backup
-The power switch is loose so I have had to send them in for a warranty repair. Funcionality wasn't impacted but for a $200+ set of headphones it should be right.

Other Thoughts: The flimsy cord is the only conceivable setback of these headphones, in all other respects they are top notch. Get these and skip the Blose
