Pros: It was cheap
Cons: It's just that, cheap.... The images of the item were obviously photo shopped. What I got was what seemed to be cheap gym sweat pants in the form of a jacket. The hood is so tiny it was designed for a baby's head. The color was light grey like K-mart sweats. There was no tone distinguished from the rest as shown in the pictures where it looks dark and edgy.
Other Thoughts: Ripp off, and costs too much to bother ship back for a return.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It looks amazing, super slick and cool to the touch. Runs fast!
Cons: You can't ever see it unlike in a desktop. But you will at least know it's there. Some where in your laptop memory with heatsinks......... XD
Other Thoughts: I thought about cutting out an acrylic window to view my sexy new ram from the outside. Apparently it voids the warranty of my asus gaming notebook.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Beautiful, super clean lines, amazing afterburner style air vents. Which is why I purchased this computer. Every gaming notebook I have owned always suffered from horrid cooling. Why these engineers still think it's a good idea to draw in air from the bottom with like literally no clearance other than a tiny rubber feet, and shoot it out the side are crazy. This design finally made sense. Air comes in from above, and shoots straight out the back, with not just one fan sharing the GPU and CPU, but 2!!!! This baby stays really cool, I have the GTX 765M overclocked 130mhz and not a problem. The CPU as well stays quite cool.
Cons: The Bios SUCKS!!! I woulda thought it would have a neat bios loaded with customizations. I mean after all it is a thousand dollar gaming laptop. But instead you get the junk basic list of changing your boot drive and thats it. This bugs me because my memory isn't running at 1600 but instead around 900!! and theres no way to change that. So obviously im heated about that and have been looking into ways to unlock the bios without bricking it or voiding the warranty. I want the speed that I paid for, 900 doesn't cut it. Also, Get a SSD!!!! I decided to see if the HDD would be enough and ehhhhhh, kinda hit n miss. It doesn't take a long time to boot up, but theres a few things that take time n a SSD would solve that right quick. It has 2 drive slots so you might as well fill the other up anyways. My new corsair drive fixed that right up.
Other Thoughts: So aside from the ram speed putsing about, I have enjoyed everything about this beautiful machine. Aside from the screen which I kind of have mixed feelings about. something about it looks rich n deep, and then at times it also looks cheap and bad lit. But I've never been a fan of matte displays anyways. I'll take a rich glossy screen any day and deal with the reflection that look at a muttled screen. I aint gaming outside or anything!READ FULL REVIEW
