Excellent Drive
Pros: Very Fast.
Cons: Some motherboards do not recognize it is CMOS, yet works fine a primary drive. Be aware to watch for junk files stacking up or you run out of space quickly.
Overall Review: It takes longer for my computer to POST and start up the BIOS than for this drive to load Windows 7 Ultimate. Did not see any noticeable increase in load times for game like ES4 or Battlefield BC2.
Garbage.
Pros: Easy installation and set up. Decent apps from the download center
Cons: After having it about a year, with minimal use (maybe 200 hours of up time) it died, all data lost. The I checked and the hard drives are fine. Reformatted the drives, and tried a reinstall of the software and it will not complete installation.
Overall Review: Contacted Synology support through their website twice. No response. I cannot recommend this product to anyone.
Defective- two bad DIMM Slots
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I spent time building my system only to have the thing not start. After much trouble shooting I determined the first two DIMM slots were defective. Back to the store it goes. This is my 3rd ASUS MB to go out on me. No overclocking, no serious extended use. Last ASUS product I buy. Note: Product was purchased from a different vendor.
Great CPU
Pros: Easy install. With ZALMAN CNPS9900ALED 120mm 2 Ball Low-noise Blue LED CPU Cooler never exceeds 42C even under continuous load. 9 months of use and it runs every application including games and lightning speed.
Cons: none I have seen.
Excellent PSU
Pros: Relatively quiet for such a high wattage. Plenty of connectors, easy install.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Have been using it almost daily 4+ hours a day for 9 months. Runs an i7 930, and two xfire 5870s in crossfire, plus a two HDs, and four 240mm fans without a hitch. Every Antec PSU I have ever owned is solid.
Good board
Pros: Easy install and mounting. Good utilities. Board never runs hotter than 32c even under load. Sound on 5.1 is excellent. No reason to buy an add on sound card.
Cons: Does not recognize Solid State drives in CMOS, yet drive works fine and boots OS.
