This review is from: SILVERSTONE AP141 139mm Air Penetrator Air Channeling Case Fan
Pros: Lowered my cpu temps several degrees. No need for fan grill.
Cons: No leds to make my case glow (though im looking into uv lights)
Other Thoughts: I am using dual xeons and its hard to find (i know noctua has one) active coolers when the processors are that close together. So I got a Lian Li pc-x500 case that has no drive bays in front of the motherboard to help airlow. The fans that Lian Li includes are pretty and quiet but don't put out much air. The Air Penetrator isn't the highest CPM fan but it does a great job at channeling all that air directly where I need it.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: AeroCool Shark 140mm Black Edition 140mm Case cooler
Pros: good air to noise ratio, looks nice
Cons: could have brighter leds or a lighter color body. i can barely see the lights in my case
Other Thoughts: just a lack of options for 140mm fans but this one might be the best.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: LIAN LI PC-X500FX Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: removal standoffs (good for dual xeon boards), great airflow, attention to detail, tool free everything, thick guage aluminum, accessories, cable management.
Cons: weak fan, especially in the back. power button seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. i wish the power to the motherboard could be hidden like the rest of the cables in the back but its not a huge deal.
Other Thoughts: been building computers for 10 years, always in search of the perfect case. this is it! i never built a computer in so little time... when i was done i kept on double checking thinking i missed something.
i could do without the top section as i have little need for drives anymore (using pci-e drives).
