This review is from: Logitech Ultimate Ears 200 Purple 985-000138 Noise-Isolating Earphones
Pros: Very sturdy, reasonable price, good sound, noise-isolating, comes with replacement ear cushions of many different sizes.
I use ear buds heavily, almost every work day, and they typically last 3-6 months before the wire breaks right around the jack due to constant bending and I lose left or right channel. These ear buds lasted almost a full year, and sounded at least as good as any of the others I have burned through over the years.
Cons: The ear cushions come off easily, and I quickly lost two of them. Luckily there were replacements, and I solved this problem by applying a dab of superglue to the cushions.
Other Thoughts: They aren't the most isolating ear buds I have ever had, but they are effective, and any more isolation becomes inconvenient because I wouldn't notice if someone were trying to get my attention.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cheap, works fine once it is installed
Cons: The windows driver installer is broken - it says it completes, makes you restart, and actually did not install the driver. To fix this you need to go into the device manager, find the card, select install driver, then browse for the driver installer. I experienced this problem on both Win XP & 7.
Other Thoughts: Works effortlessly on Ubuntu.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: COBY CV-E52 3.5mm Connector Canal Isolation Stereo Earphone, Silver
Pros: Dirt cheap. Make sound.
Cons: Sound is thin and distant, as if you were listening on the other side of a wall. The quality is really miserable. Also, they are not isolating in the slightest.
Other Thoughts: The cord is a little shorter than most other earbuds I have owned, but still long enough for anyone under 8 feet tall.READ FULL REVIEW
