SILVERSTONE Strider Gold ST1000-G 1000W ATX 12V v2.3 / EPS 12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified 100% Modular, Active PFC Power Supply
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Quiet, Supplies clean and efficient voltage and has high amperage rating. PCI-E Leads include 2200uF capacitors which is nice.

Cons: I found this cheaper and bought it around the time it first came out on another site.

EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) DirectX 11 015-P3-1580-AR 1536MB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Impressive scaling ability compared to what im use to on the Radeon side. I owned a 5970 + 5850 and the drivers were such a headache I finally gave up and sold them and bought 2 of these, I don't regret my purchase at all.

Cons: Run a little toast. I have the SLI configuration in slots 1 and 2 because I need the PCI x1 slot for my wireless adapter so card 1 runs about 8-10c hotter then card 2, still within a safe range so no biggy.

RAZER DeathAdder Black Wired Optical Precision Gaming Mouse - 3.5G Infrared Sensor
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Ergonomics are pretty good, good grip. Well designed is really what your paying the high price for in razer products.

Cons: Cheap manufacturing is what you get, my mouse wheel died only a month into using it and the cable started to short froming getting tangled inside the tethered cover.

I'll probably send it in or throw it away because I just bought a Sidewinder X8 and hopefully the durability will be a lot better then this mouse.

Other Thoughts: I've seen a lot of complaints of similar issues. Seems these days companies have to save any penny they can get, or maybe I am wrong. They seem to design stuff pretty well but I cant say that about this. my lycosa (however you spell it) also has shot media controls on the keyboard and likes to randomly skip my tunes whenever it feels like it.
