Pros: I liked the cpu processing speed, the overall performance and to take stress off of the cpu, I added 16gb's of ram instead of 8.
Cons: It broke.
Other Thoughts: I have never seen or heard of this happen before, but I heard a pop and my whole computer powered down. After unplugging all the power coards and flipping the power switch, I flipped up the lock to the cpu cooler. I picked it up to check the pins on the cpu, but the cpu was connected to the mb still and I was still holding the cooling system in my hand. I am always delicate with my things and obviously that pop was the cpu breaking away from the cooling system.
In effect, I now have a cpu and a motherboard to return because it will no longer power up either. I hope the rest of my hardware is fine. I just upgraded my graphics card, bought a better hdd, and have ordered a different monitor. Everything I had in my rig was according to spec and I had a techy friend of mine go over all the specs to make sure everything would work, so there is no excuse in my mind for how thorough I was in building/upgrading the parts.
Since I play high-end grapically based games, I have been in the habit of watching temperatures of CPU and GPU to make sure there isn't overheating. None of that showed this morning and I hope I get a refund.
