This review is from: EDIMAX EW-7811Un N150 USB 2.0 Wireless nano Adapter
Pros: -- Very small. Great for a computer that is in a tight location.
-- Great performance. My internet speed rating it 11Mb/s. With the dongle I achieve 9-10Mb/s. That's about as close as one can expect to get.
Cons: None that I can see.
Other Thoughts: I compared this to the Rosewill RNX-G1 Wireless Black Dongle w/ External 2dBi SMA Antenna. I ran both dongles on the same computer. The Rosewill only achived 4-5Mb/s. This EDIMAX was far superior.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: No pros that other wireless dongles don't already have.
Cons: -- Big and bulky
-- Speed test shows 4-5Mb/s max even though my service provides 11.Mb/s. I switched the wirless dongle to the EDIMAX EW-7811Un Wireless Nano Adapter and I immediately had 9-10Mb/s. . . . This was a direct side-by-side comparison of the two dongles on the same exact computer, network, etc. . . . The Rosewill failed miserably.
-- The utility software makes matters even worse. When I installed it I only got 1-2Mb/s!!!!
This review is from: Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 64GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model DT101G2/64GBZ
Pros: -- Capacity: 64GB on a flash drive is wonderful. (There was a time not too long ago when an entire hard drive was 64GB.) I chose to format it FAT32 so that I can use it with my car stereo (JVC KW-AVX840). It worked great. I rip DVDs or download videos from the internet, convert them to AVI and play them from this flash drive on the car stereo without any problems.
-- Speed: I have not bothered to test the speed. I am not using this drive for daily usage but only to put videos to play in the car. For that purpose, I don't really care how long it takes to transfer videos to it. But generally speaking, I am content with the transfer speeds. It's not lightening fast, but it's certainly not painfully slow. For such massive storage, the speed is more than acceptable.
-- Physical body: The construction seems very sturdy. The swivel is tight enough to prevent accidentally swinging open. Asthetically, it is also a very nice looking drive.
