5 out of 5 eggs Trouble free for 4+ years 10/11/2016

This review is from: MSI 990FXA-GD80 V2 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Installed easily 13 months ago, documentation adequate, totally trouble-free with AMD FX 8150 8-core, 16GB RAM, Windows 7.

Cons: Depending on the chassis layout, cabling the onboard USB 3 connector as well as the SATA connectors could be awkward.

Other Thoughts: Update: The system has now been running trouble-free for over four years with power-on 24/7.

Pros: Bought 16 months ago to drive monitors 2 & 3 under Windows 7. No-hassle install, has worked flawlessly, no problems whatever. Excellent price-performance for a business system.

Cons: Obviously not a gaming card.

Other Thoughts: 3/2016 update: Now have three installed & one on order: one in use since 2012, others since 2013 & 2014. No problems whatever.

5 out of 5 eggs Bought two new in Sept. 2012, they work flawlessly. 02/11/2016

This review is from: SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PC1280/0H1

Pros: Not the fastest available now, but very reliable. No failures or errors in 41 months of continuous (power-on) operation.

Cons: None for me but I've no experience with refurbished SDD's..

Other Thoughts: I have a pair running Raid 1 (mirror) and every so often (about once a year) the Raid software & Windows get into a disagreement and the array goes critical. Nothing wrong with the drive - just rebuild the dropped-out drive and things are OK again for 10-12 months.
