This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Extreme Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 240mm
Pros: Looks good when working correctly. Keep temps on my 17-3970x oced at to 4.9ghz under load from demanding games to around 70c. This was with a voltage at 1.550.
Cons: 1st, Only after 1 month the only the colors red and purple worked. All the other LED colors stopped working. I don't want either of those colors for my build.
2nd, The pump has stopped working correctly (or some type of valve on the pump) even though Corsair Link shows pump at 2278 rpms.
This has shut down any use on my PC of which I love and play gaming on regularly. Very inconvenient I have to wait for a replacement and a bit of money out of pocket for a new one (I don't want to wait for RMA).
Other Thoughts: It does look great and performance was perfect for my extreme overclock of 4.9Ghz @ 1.550v. I didn't realize you could change the LED colors until I had installed the Corsair Link software.
I did all the proper trouble shooting. Firmware, bios up-to-date, reset bios, factory clocks, tried lowering below factory clocks, lowered voltage. No change. Temps topping 91c.
Unacceptable. Owned for 8 months.
1 egg for faulty equipment that's suppose to keep my extremely expensive extreme i7 CPU from overheating.
Change the memory timings.
Lots of over clocking.
Cool glowing MATRIX logo on the side
Some direct button controls located directly on the card.
Easy to keep dust free!!
So much more!
Cons: Takes up 3 PCI slots. Epic loudness when fans are at 100%. My voltage wont change when using the on board voltage buttons despite the LEDs changing (I use the included software GPU Tweak to change the voltages). Neither points deduct any eggs for me.
Other Thoughts: I love this card. Its beautiful! Only a hand full of crashes before I found a stable overclock. I run my card speeds at 960mhz gpu and 4304 mem 100% of the time. I also run my fans at 100% all of the time (I also often use the fan button). Plays all my games at max settings, aa + af at 1920x1200 flawlessly. Skyrim? Eats it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! It's a BEAST!
60-70c full load with some games.
Taxes come, Im buying a 2nd one. Asus, please dont discontinue these until after tax season!!
Pros: This is called Armor+ for a reason (read other thoughts). Extremely strong stylish design. Easy slide out mobo drawer. Easy set up for liquid cooling. Tons of space. Awesome airflow. Extra storage areas. Easy wire management. Front headphone, mic, USBs and Esata ports. Easy snap, etc etc etc.. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!
Cons: Difficult to transport, weighing at around 80lbs. This case is a beast when sporting all the works including liquid cooling.
Other Thoughts: My house was in a fire. Almost everything gone except a few things. This case protected the hardware inside from the fire and extreme heat. Two 285s, Mushkin ram, Velociraptor HDD, and q9650 CPU were all saved all thanks to this case. Everything else was a loss. Granted those components were designed to take high temps, the fire produced temps reaching up to 800 degrees for an extended period of time. 2 years later, they all still work perfectly. I highly recommend this case.READ FULL REVIEW
