Pros: The price was great. I've had no issue what-so-ever with this SSD. I use it to store and run my steam games from. I got this drive because the 60GB SSD I was using was getting too small for more modern games. I haven't speed tested it to get hard numbers or anything, but it replaced a crucial SSD and seems as fast or faster than it.
Cons: None so far. I didn't have to install an OS on mine or anything, just format and use as storage. So I can't comment on that.
Other Thoughts: The price was great. This has been a great drive so far. I'm glad I took the chance on a new name brand.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This thing is quite sturdy, well constructed (all the screw holes line up), and it's attractive enough for what it is. The light is blue when the drive is in and running, turns purple when accessing the drive on initialization, and is not overly bright. There is also a place to add a fan if you need, none included but I knew that from the description.
I have a computer shop and I get a lot of customers wanting disc wipes/restores. This does exactly what I need it to do, quickly swap out a drive for file backups/virus scans. It also has a sturdy enough lock I guess, but I wouldn't store state secrets behind it. I don't use the lock at all.
Cons: There is no included software. I didn't expect it to at this price. My motherboard (Asus z77 Sabertooth) supports hot swapping, but if your MB doesn't you will need some kind of software. Also it would have been nice if the slot would also accept laptop/ssd drives. They of course will fit if you an line them up correctly, but an added groove would have made it easier.
Other Thoughts: I,m very happy with my purchase. Even if you are not hot swapping drives this is a great purchase for ease of access to you HDD. I plan to fill the blank drive slots on my pc with them and forget about the hassle of opening my case when I need to change drive out.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Does exactly what I needed it to do... speed up transfers of large files to my media server. I'm getting transfer rates of 120Mbit/s so that's great.
Cons: None that affect me.
Other Thoughts: I thought putting a gigabit switch downstream of my non gigabit router would negate it's purpose but I was wrong. I think as long as everything you connect to the switch can handle gigabit you're fine. upstream doesn't matter.READ FULL REVIEW
