Very Poor Product
Pros: It should be a good idea :-(
Cons: Power button has never cycled power. The only way to turn it off is to pull the plug. It simply powers straight up when I insert the power plug. Power settings did not shut down the system when setup to do so overnight. Help information is really not that comprehensive and it took me a while to get to a reliable backup strategy - Once there, the drives mysteriously disappeared and apparently my raid array no longer exists. After hours of watching a flashing drive light, I reset the box and still the same. Help does not describe the light combination I am getting and when I reset, the box did not follow the sequence that the manual said, appearing not to have reset however long I held the button. Accessing the drive manager did not allow me to do anything more than to look at a window that showed I had no drives! Surely I should be able to update firmware for instance without drives in the box? I was feeling uncomfortable before I lost my data, but now am totally disillusioned by this products nebulous and finally, destructive performance. When I had it somewhat working, I was also unhappy with the limitations of the remote access - 1 file at a time and 2GB limit! Really - This is a business product? As a long time Seagate user, this product has destroyed my confidence and I am sad.
Overall Review: Moving on ... Goodbye Seagate
