This review is from: ZOTAC X58SLI-A-E LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Inexpensive - great price for X58 motherboard with all of the basic features.
Works well with certain CPUs - runs with i7 975X and below.
Cons: Lack of tech support - no updated BIOS to support i7 980X or 990X (975X will run but identified as 9750).
Lack of tech support - waited on live chat but it timed out and then I had to leave a message which stated that a representative would get back to me shortly - still no reply after several days.
Lack of USB ports on rear I/O.
No documentation for debug codes on LED display in the manual or posted on Zotac support site - d0 seems to be CPU incompatibility because that is what the LEDs show when the motherboard does not boot with the 980X and 990X installed.
No USB 3.0 or SATA 6Gb/s - this is not a huge issue since this generation did not have Intel 3.0 or SATA 6 implementation yet and I do not use 3rd party implementations.
Other Thoughts: I've been very happy with the Zotac video cards but I am disappointed with lack of support for this motherboard that could be excellent with just a little more BIOS support/update. This makes me fearful of what to expect if I ever need tech support for a video card.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Athena Power Cable-PCIE6 4pin (HD Male) + 4pin (HD Female) to 6pin Convertor
Other Thoughts: This cable is wired incorrectly and does not work with any of the PCI-Express cards that I have tried it on. There is an extra brown cable from ground going where other adapters that work either have no wires at all or a 12V yellow wire.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Intel Pentium 4 2.4A Prescott Single-Core 2.4GHz Socket 478 Processor BX80546PE2400E
Other Thoughts: Pretty good CPU for the price - a little slower than 2.4C due to 533 FSB and about 8 degrees C hotter but the new retail HSF with the copper plug is relatively quite. It also doesn't overclock as well as the 2.4Cs that I owned which all could run 3.2-3.6 GHz - this 2.4A got to 3.15 GHz using the stock HSF. It runs fine on Abit IC7-G, Albatron PX865PE Lite Pro, and ASUS P4P800-VM so far.READ FULL REVIEW
