This review is from: WD Purple WD30PURX 3TB SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive
Pros: Purchased one drive to add storage for a video surveillance system.
Drive plays a cute musical tunes in it's death state.
Cons: DOA with a manufacturers date of Jan 2015.
Tried in two different computers and a usb dock and the drive could not be detected at all.
What I could hear were these musical tunes that repeated and vibrated the drive as it failed acknowledgement of the host system.
This should really make you question how the drives fail because you can normally recover data with software tools. But if you have an existing drive and it goes into this state you have little chance to recover data.
Other Thoughts: Just because the drive was DOA it doesn't deserve just one egg but this is an ongoing problem with WD's new drive lines to newegg.
So much so that I've avoided buying their drives here for a year and sure enough the next WD one I buy here is DOA.
Still doesn't keep me away from WD products, I just have lower expectations than before.
This review is from: Arctic Cooling P253BT Bluetooth Headphones with Mic
Pros: I bought this to use only with the computer.
Provides decent sound and bass for music, and movies.
Collapsible making them very portable in any small bag or pocket.
I wear glasses and these are not annoying or very obstructive.
Very cheap price, a steal at under $10
Cons: Not a Micro USB plug, it uses a Mini-B plug.
Other Thoughts: These are being used on Windows 7 with bluetooth adapter
With the AZIO I have to keep disabling the bluetooth radio in the toshiba software it comes with before turning on the headphones otherwise sound won't transfer to them.
This review is from: NETGEAR 5 Port Gigabit Business-Class Desktop Switch - Lifetime Warranty (GS105)
Pros: I own the GS105 v2
I've had this running for over 4 years straight till I needed more ports and got the GS108.
Had this put away and then set it up in another location that needed 3 ports.
Noticed that it was randomly power cycling which it never did before and only negotiating to 100mbit.
Unplugged, swapped ports and it was taking a while to negotiate or continuously cycle the lights.
Changed power supply and it fired right up, negotiated instantly at GBit on all ports.
Not the first time I've had electronics exceed their power supplies life. Swap the power supply if you are experiencing these issues and watch the speeds live on.
Cons: absolutely none
Other Thoughts: The one I own is a v2 purchased 6/2008READ FULL REVIEW
