This review is from: Silicon Power 64GB Jewel J80 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SP064GBUF3J80V1T)
Pros: Relatively quick, small, and durable
Cons: Died after 4 months, not even remotely close to full USB 3.0 transfer speeds
Other Thoughts: Had to RMA, will update if that doesn't go smoothly.
**Update -- RMA was VERY smooth (I had newegg invoice and kept the original package). The replacement appears to be a newer model so hoping this one doesn't fail in the first few months**
This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-308E2K Powerline AV200 Nano Adapter Kit, Up to 200Mbps
Pros: 5+MB/s sustained transfer over ~150 feet of electrical wire.*
Small adapter size.
Connects in seconds.
Cons: Must plug into wall, doesn't work well with power strips.
Lower transfer rates versus using Cat5e wiring (9+MB/s transfer with direct wiring)*
20ms ping time increase with increase in packet size (1KB). Nominal 1-5ms ping increase otherwise.
Other Thoughts: *Tested using 1GB of files ranging 10KB to 150MB in size over ~150 feet of household electrical wiring.
Although there was some measured increase lag, it is far less than wireless and fine for most applications. Gamers may want to take note of this though.
Includes (2) Cat5e cables, (2) Powerline Adapters, (1) Quickstart instruction, and (1) CD (utility, manual)
I think this makes for an excellent cost effective solution if you're looking at alternatives to running wire. It's exciting to see this technology get this good at this relatively low price point.
This review is from: LifeSmart PCHT1029US Infrared Tower Heater w/ Wooden Cabinet
Pros: Easily warms small rooms.
Temperature and fan controls.
Looks nice enough to be a piece of furniture. Flat top doesn't get hot so you can put something there. I don't though.
Cons: Does not remember your last temperature setting and has no way of saving it, so each time it's powered on it needs to be adjusted. Same for fan speed.
Fan is a touch too loud.
Other Thoughts: Great unit and if purchased on sale costs the same shipped as smaller, less feature packed models.READ FULL REVIEW
