Pros: FAST, easy installation, SKhynix memory at a great price. These were marked $149 with a +10% off coupon so I got'em for $134.99 which is such a deal when you look at the competition. What's wonderful is these are of the highest quality memory modules, using SKhynix memory, along with a lifetime warranty. How could you go wrong? Snapped these babies in, enabled XMP profile, and BOOM.
FAST!!!! My games are loading at least twice as fast now....crazy how much this helped. I was using 8gb of ddr3 1600 (g. skill ripjaws) prior to this.
Cons: Heatsink is way too big. Memory doesn't even really need a heatsink (unless your overclocking) so wish it was a bit more conservative. I still managed to get the memory installed with my big cooler master 212 evo, but it was a tight fit!
Other Thoughts: I couldn't recommend this memory any higher. I see the price is back up to make this comparable to other brands, but I'd still choose this memory over any of the others except maybe the Mushkin Redline Enhanced series. It's SKhynix memory so it doesn't get any better.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SteelSeries 5H V2 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Professional Gaming Headset
Pros: I've tried headset after headset to find one that fits comfortably with glasses. Finally, this one does! And it's darn comfortable too. I love the type of fabric around the ears instead of leather. Leather looks nice and is expensive and a highly desired feature but for some reason I do not find it comfortable. This is an amazing grab for $29.99 and am so happy to have finally found a headset that works for ME.
Cons: None. Cord can get twisted easily but just untwist it when it gets too twisted.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: New AMD technology, FAST, runs fairly cool, extremely powerful cooling system, well built. This card is amazing in pretty much every way. It can handle everything you throw at it with plenty of room to spare in 1080p. These cards only really begin to max out if you're playing in 1440, 1600p, and 4k gaming.
I had the 280x model at first, but decided I would prefer to have the new technology and a little more speed plus 3 free games (I had bought the 280x used so I didn't get any free games)
One of the things that I don't see discussed much is the Gigabyte warranty. Without question the best in the business in my opinion. With every gigabyte card you're getting a 3 year, no questions asked warranty. You don't have to be the original buyer either, you literally just punch your serial number in and if the card was purchased less than 3 years ago, you're under full warranty! This is a HUGE value that people seem to overlook when considering which AMD Radeon to buy.
I did all the research. I looked at all the benchmarks. I considered all the prices versus performance and what each card offers.
Nothing comes close to what gigabyte offers.
The Gigabyte R9 290 Windforce is the best 290 on the market. You must remember that the bench mark people are using default fan settings when they run their benchmarks. The only reason another card like a Toxic is cooler is because its default fan profile is much more aggressive. Gigabyte's fan profile can be adjusted to be aggressive and can cool just as well as the Toxic while providing slightly higher clock speeds!
This is literally THE BEST 290 on the market AND the cheapest. Makes no sense, but I'll enjoy it while I can. Plan to order another with my next paycheck!
Cons: Like every other high end AMD card, power consumption is just ridiculous. I plan to purchase another card but will have to get a new power supply when I do so because I know my 700w OCZ ModXstream won't be able to support 2x Crossfire r9 290's.
Other Thoughts: Don't even think twice guys, seriously. If you're trying to decide on which R9 290 to buy, this is literally a no brainer.READ FULL REVIEW
