This review is from: ECS LIVA 2GB DDR3L RAM installed Mini / Booksize Barebone System
Pros: Power draw, size
Cons: HDMI and USB port placement should have been more thought out. You'll want a powered USB extension for more ports. Wifi /BT ports are delicate and I broke mine trying to install mine. (Bent them)
Other Thoughts: As long as you load all of the proper drivers from ECS Windows 8.1 runs pretty well and you ESPECIALLY want the Graphics or you'll have TERRIBLE video quality. I've used both VLC and MPC HDx64 with decent results under all but the more extreme 1080p MKV's Also if you run Linux I recommend you do Mint or Ubuntu 14+ and manually update to kernel 3.16 or above. Again, there are some OSS drivers at 01.org I believe.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Supposed to be one of the fastest cards out and I'm curious to see Mantle on BF4
Cons: The card was DOA/OOBF... Wouldn't boot on any machine in Uber or Quiet mode. I had to pay to ship it back to Asus for warranty for some reason and now their saying a couple of weeks to repair?? SEND ME A NEW CARD!
Other Thoughts: I chose Asus because they usually are the best where quality is concerned but this purchase has me second guessing that notion. RMA USPC3C2500READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great mounting (not sure how anyone's is sagging based on design.) Plays everything at Ultra settings except Crysis 3 on my 2560x1080 lcd. No temp issues and the fans aren't loud but that may depend upon your case based on other feedback I've read.
Cons: For now you need to be using Beta drivers and I prefer to get mine at guru3d. No PHYSX but I don't play Arkham or one of the 3 or so titles that have PHYSX. Even if I needed it, I would use the PHYSX hack and use my old 9800gt for that.
Other Thoughts: I see all electronics on a bell curve. There is always a sweet spot where you get 85% or so of the best for 50% of the max cost. Right now in Oct of 2013 I think this is the sweet spot in GPU's and the card is an absolute BEAST at FAH/Compute task. The biggest hurdle now for AMD will be to get their drivers up to NVIDIA's level and to really push OpenCL and Mantle. Couple those technologies and leveraging GCN with their PS4/XBOX1 offerings might allow AMD to become dominant. I would like to see this succeed to keep not only NVIDIA competitive but to also push Intel to be competitive once again.READ FULL REVIEW
