This review is from: Noctua NF-S12A FLX 120mm Case Fan
Pros: Quiet. Moves a lot of air. Comes with rubber mount things so you don't have to mess with screws. Comes with different resistors so you can slow the fan down if you want, but even at the highest speed you can't hear it so I don't see why you would want to slow it down.
Cons: A bit expensive, of course, but this brand is known to be one of the best.
Other Thoughts: One of the reasons I went for this fan is that my mobo only has a 3-pin connector. If I upgrade my mobo, I'll have to get an adapter. For the price it would be nice to have variable speed, but that would require 4 pins anyway.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Seems solidly built. Should be easy to work on for when I replace the wifi card. Boots relatively quickly, even with the slow 5400rpm hard drive.
Cons: Buying a computer in 2014, I expect 5GHz wifi. Also, the listing states that the graphics are Intel HD 5000.
This is a lie. The graphics are Intel HD 4500.
The trackpad isn't the best, but it gets the job done.
Other Thoughts: The wifi works great for web browsing, but we upgraded our computer to use with a Chromecast. To get tab casting to work, I need the computer to be on 5GHz, otherwise the picture is choppy. Wifi is half duplex, so having the Chromecast and the computer on different freqs is neccessary for smooth performance.
Asus includes software for the trackpad that allows for two finger scrolling, a 3 finger gesture to show the desktop, and you can slide from the left to switch to the last application, and slide from the right to show the settings thingy in windows 8.
