Pros: Bells and whistles. Ivy Bridge. GIGABYTE brand. The manual is excellent as usual. I gave it one egg because it does work but is unusable for me and many others because of the inability to fully scale H/V screen size. This is a shame because GIGABYTE has been my favorite board manufacturer for some time. But the ball has been dropped. CPU is Celeron G1610. No OC.
Cons: Will not allow Horiz and Vert scaling necessary to get desktop to fit on DLP screens, projectors and other display devices that over scan but do not have dot for dot options. Intel drivers do allow for this adjustment but not on this board. Layout of board is poor for many small HTPC cases but can be made to work.
Other Thoughts: The Horiz and Vert scaling option is not available using the drivers that came with the board or those available from GBs website or from the drivers from Intel's web site. Contacted GB by email and still waiting. Chatted with Intel and, of course, they said the video bios on the MB was at fault and to use GB's bios update. I did so and the board still works but no Horiz and Vert scaling option with any of the available drivers. I have wasted a lot of time on this board.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RCX-Z775-LP 80mm Sleeve Low Profile CPU Cooler
Pros: Very nice solid copper core. Very quiet at HTPC distances. Cools 65Watt and below CPU perfectly for HTPC use. Small and sufficiently sturdy. Ideal for tight installs. An absolute steal for the price especially if you compare to others selling the identical product with a different brand name.
Cons: No install instructions. INTEL like pins a bit iffy to get locked into MB but when you figure it out it is super easy.
Other Thoughts: The only way to damage this HS getting it out of the box or installing it is to open the box with a hammer and try to install it with the same hammer. This is a very good product at a very good price.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech Classic Keyboard 200 Black USB Wired Standard Keyboard
Pros: The keyboard works quietly and has a bit of clickover feel when a key is struck. Best points for the board are that it does not have a mushy feel and it has a large backspace key. That is a must for me because I touch type and am used to a large backspace key. I am using the board for this review.
Cons: The keyboard looks like some one got angry with it and hit it with something dinging up a few keys and the space bar.
Other Thoughts: I often buy refurbished items and this is the first refurb item I have purchased that did not look like it was new in the box. While I did not expect perfection in its appearance (after all it is a refurb) and while the banged up appearance does not detract from its functionality, I expected more from Logitech and NewEgg.READ FULL REVIEW
