ASUS F3T
Pros: I looked at many different models and brands before settling on this model. It is, I think the best for the money out there. Using a Link sys router I have had no problems and always get an excellent signal, even in my back yard. It worked well right off the bat and continues to perform at top levels. Dedicated memory for the video card is a real plus.
Cons: It throws a lot of heat, and there is a high pitch noise which I believe the comes from the cooling fan. The North bridge software detects a problem with the hard drive until Windows update finally fixed the problem.
Overall Review: I really like he fact that the video has dedicated memory, this is the one feature that sold me on this unit more than any other. This unit also comes with a lot of accessories like a nice little mouse and decent carrying case.
Digital tuner did not work with cable
Pros: The picture was pretty good even with standard definition cable.
Cons: The set would not pick up the digital stations from my cable. My other LCD picks up the digital stations. I assume that the QAM tuner is not working. The tech support consists of unplug and then replug. The manual comes on CD and is not helpful unless you don't know how plug in the power cord. I noticed that a few reviewers had the same problem with the QAM tuner and the service. Also there was light bleed around the edges of the screen.
Overall Review: Remember that you cannot return this item for a refund. Be sure that you want a SDTV when you order. I bought this for the HDTV and have sent it in for exchange, but do not feel confident that I will have an HDTV in the long run.
Dead after almost two years
Pros: When it worked it did a pretty good job. Voltages were within range, and it ran every thing in my computer. I liked the finish, too bad it was not visible in my case. Three year warranty
Cons: Started going bad a month ago. Went on vacation, came plugged it in and started the computer only to have it shut right off. This is the second Rosewill power supply that did this. Different computer and different electrical circuit. Sent two e-mails to Rosewill and have yet to hear from them.
Overall Review: I like LED's in flashlights, not so much in computers.
