This review is from: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Works well. Used for a FreeNAS system and worked out of box with the following parts...
Intel Core i3-3240
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB)
LSI SAS 9211-8i
LSI SAS 9207-8e
Cons: None that I can think of
Other Thoughts: This is the first non-intel MB I have purchased in years. I missed the single fold out "map" that Intel provides for step by step setup and board layout. Short of that, board is is doing what is asked of it.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SeaSonic SS-400L2U 400W Single 2U Server Power Supply - 80PLUS Gold
Pros: Allows electrons to flow.
Cons: See "Other thoughts".
Other Thoughts: *The cooling fan is not the best by any means... I'd removed the bearing sticker and gave it a dusting of dry graphite... Things are much nicer now. If you can, replace the stock 60mm fan with a high end fan and you'll be happier.
*Cable harness to PSU connections are VERY tight. There were times I thought there was going to be damage plugging and unplugging connectors.
*Modular cable harness is nice and allowed for easier customization to suit my needs.
Pros: It does what it is supposed to do. For the price and reviews read I didn't really expect much.
Cons: Spend the money and buy yourself some GOOD replacement fans. After 3 reboots for OS and system setup and a week of service... I could hear the blasted fans through out the everywhere. Sounded like a failed bearing.
Other Thoughts: I had previously purchased NOCTUA NF-R8 fans to have on hand and replaced the 4 chassis fans. Box runs almost silent now other than wind rush/chassis echo. There is ALMOST an issue, depending on the cabling you have, going from HBA to disk backplane. I had to form the cables to fit around the fans so they would seat properly but short of that and the above mentioned fan issue I'd recommend this chassis.READ FULL REVIEW
