This review is from: ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Worked fine for about 1 1/2 years.
Give it a good CPU, GPU and RAM and it cranks for video editing.
Cons: Both video card slots died
Other Thoughts: RMA process was reasonable, however they sent me the wrong board. I returned it and now they claim to have no knowledge of the process and want me to resubmit the info so that they can look into it further. The first tech that I talked to wanted to pursue the "download the latest BIOS" rabbit-trail. For the amount of money that I spent, next time I will shop first for the most responsive manufacturer. I am retired (granddaughter calls me Mr. Fossil) and I have time on my hands, but honestly, I don't need the headache!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: PRICE HISTORY SHOWS $107 NOT SO LONG AGO
Other Thoughts: I bought a refurb 2 months ago and it made some "ticking" sounds but after a couple of days they subsided. No problems yet with moderate use.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Crisp display, 23in is a nice amount of real estate. Any larger and you pay for it $. No dead pixels. Nice appearance. I had trouble with the video card on this build, so having a DVI and a good old VGA connection was nice. I plugged into an old XP box to get info from the web with it.
Other Thoughts: Ya say the base isn't one inch ChromeMoly? I feel for ya.
Ya say you only have the monitors speakers to listen to, I feel for ya there too.
